EMPLOYEE JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB PURPOSE:

To carry out Painting and Cleaning for Ship repair works. Activities and Execution of work to be carried out as per the time frame given, quality, health, safety and environmental standards as established within ADC. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Description

Prepare work plan for ships based on Project Specification prior to start of project and monitor the daily activities against plan for the project duration.

Prepare SER (Project plan) and submit for approval before activities start on vessels.

Prior to vessel arrival – prepare man power, material, equipment requirements.

Prepare and maintain the Daily Work Monitoring Sheets.

Carry out work on ship in coordination with Ship Crew and sign off all relevant work scopes and work completion from ship crew.

Ensure proper usage of manpower and materials including equipment’s, consumables, grit etc. as per standard of usage and relevant documentation for the same are maintained.

Ensure proper Project Review Log is submitted to management for review and highlight and difficulties wherein management intervention is required.

Ensure all HSSE and Quality requirements are adhered to by all down line employees. Follow up on discipline and time keeping maintained by down line.

Provide daily work schedule to Foreman as well as assistance for the initiation and smooth work flow.

Provide complete and accurate reports to Superior on duty

Attended daily meeting with Ship crew, SRM and others as per management requirement.

Prepare and maintain all project related documents for individual projects and submit to the department document control centre for future references.

Other jobs which will be assigned at the discretion of the Line Manager shall be attended to.

Ensure compliance to all relevant quality, health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, delivery of high quality products/ service and a responsible environmental attitude. Contribute towards ZERO incident at worksite.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires Engineering Graduate or Non-Technical Graduate with NACE CIP Certification.

Minimum Experience:

Requires minimum 3-5 years on field painting experience in a repair shipyard (first priority) or new shipbuilding (second priority).

Job-Specific Knowledge & Skills:

Requires a good understanding of general drawing.

Certification/ Knowledge of international painting specification (desired NACE Level 1 / FROSIO or equivalent)

Requires good skill in Word, Excel, Power point etc.

Good communication and interpersonal skill in English is a must.

Work environment consists of the production office and shipyard.

Requires overtime work and work on holidays and weekend, depending upon shift schedule.

Required to observe all safety and health requirements for work area.

Must have professional appearance, consistent with local customs and work area.

المسؤوليات الرئيسية:

تخطيط وتنفيذ الأعمال

إعداد خطة العمل للمشاريع وفقاً لمواصفات المشروع قبل بدء التنفيذ، ومتابعة الأنشطة اليومية مقارنة بالخطة طوال فترة المشروع.

إعداد SER (خطة المشروع) والحصول على الموافقات اللازمة قبل بدء الأعمال على السفن.

تجهيز احتياجات المشروع من القوى العاملة والمواد والمعدات قبل وصول السفينة.

إعداد وتحديث سجلات المتابعة اليومية للأعمال.

تنفيذ الأعمال على السفينة بالتنسيق مع طاقم السفينة والحصول على اعتمادهم على نطاق الأعمال المنجزة وإتمامها.

ضمان الاستخدام الأمثل للقوى العاملة والمواد والمعدات والمواد الاستهلاكية (مثل مواد السفع الرملي وغيرها)، مع المحافظة على السجلات والوثائق ذات الصلة.

إعداد ورفع سجل مراجعة المشروع إلى الإدارة، مع إبراز التحديات التي تتطلب تدخل الإدارة لمعالجتها.

ضمان التزام جميع العاملين بمتطلبات الجودة والصحة والسلامة والبيئة (HSSE)، ومتابعة الانضباط والالتزام بساعات العمل.

إعداد برنامج العمل اليومي للمراقبين (Foremen) وتقديم الدعم اللازم لضمان انسيابية سير العمل.

إعداد وتقديم تقارير دقيقة وكاملة إلى الرئيس المباشر.

المشاركة في الاجتماعات اليومية مع طاقم السفينة ومدير إصلاح السفن (SRM) والأطراف الأخرى وفق متطلبات الإدارة.

إعداد وحفظ جميع الوثائق الخاصة بالمشاريع وإرسالها إلى مركز ضبط الوثائق بالقسم للرجوع إليها مستقبلاً.

تنفيذ أي مهام أخرى يكلف بها من قبل الرئيس المباشر.

التعاون والتنسيق

التنسيق والتعاون مع جميع إدارات الإنتاج، وإدارة التقديرات، وإدارة التسويق لضمان تنفيذ الأعمال بكفاءة وتحقيق أهداف المشروع.

السياسات والأنظمة والإجراءات

الالتزام بجميع السياسات والإجراءات والتعليمات القياسية الخاصة بقسم معالجة هياكل السفن (Hull Treatment) لضمان تنفيذ الأعمال بطريقة منظمة ومتسقة.

المؤهلات والخبرة والمهارات:

الحد الأدنى من المؤهلات:

درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة، أو خريج غير هندسي حاصل على شهادة NACE CIP.

الحد الأدنى من الخبرة:

خبرة لا تقل عن 3–5 سنوات في مجال أعمال الطلاء الميدانية في أحواض إصلاح السفن (الأولوية الأولى)، أو في أحواض بناء السفن الجديدة (الأولوية الثانية).

المعارف والمهارات الخاصة بالوظيفة:

فهم جيد للرسومات الهندسية العامة.

المعرفة أو الحصول على شهادة في مواصفات الطلاء الدولية  يفضل شهادة NACE Level 1 / FROSIO أو ما يعادلها  

إجادة استخدام برامج Microsoft Office مثل Word وExcel وPowerPoint.

مهارات جيدة في التواصل والتعامل مع الآخرين باللغة الإنجليزية.

القدرة على العمل في بيئة تجمع بين مكتب الإنتاج ومواقع العمل داخل الحوض.

الاستعداد للعمل لساعات إضافية وخلال الإجازات وعطلات نهاية الأسبوع حسب جدول الورديات.

الالتزام بجميع متطلبات الصحة والسلامة الخاصة بمنطقة العمل.

الالتزام بالمظهر المهني المناسب بما يتوافق مع العادات المحلية وطبيعة بيئة العمل.

غرض الوظيفة:

• تنفيذ المهام المختلفة المتعلقة بالتخطيط الفعال لعمليات تفريغ وتحميل السفن، وتخطيط الساحات وعملياتها للبضائع المستوردة، والحاويات الفارغة (MTs)، والبضائع المصدرة، وبضائع إعادة الشحن (Transshipment) مع الفصل المناسب بينها وفقاً لسياسات وإجراءات القسم. يأخذ التخطيط في الاعتبار استقرار السفينة، وسلامة وأمن البضائع، وكفاءة عمليات الساحة والسفن. مراقبة عمليات السفن، المرسى، الساحة، والبوابة في الوقت الفعلي لضمان أن السفن والبضائع / الحاويات لها مواقع مؤكدة في أي وقت لتقليل عمليات النقل والحركات غير المنتجة سواء أثناء التحميل أو التفريغ. 

المسؤوليات الرئيسية:

• بالتنسيق مع رئيس فريق عمليات الميناء المشتركة (JPO Team Lead)، يتولى إدارة وتخطيط السفن والساحات والبوابات والمراسي:
• لكافة أنواع عمليات البضائع – البضائع السائبة الجافة (Dry Bulk)، الحاويات، البضائع متعددة الأغراض، سفن دحرجة المركبات (RORO)، والبضائع السائبة السائلة (Liquid Bulk).
• ضمان التعامل مع كل شحنة بالطريقة الصحيحة، ويشمل ذلك تحديد وحساب الشحن وقياسات الوزن، وطلب المعدات والقوى العاملة الكافية في المكان المناسب والوقت المناسب.
• المسؤولية عن تخطيط الأنشطة بناءً على وثائق التفريغ / التحميل مثل خطط التستيف (Stowage Plans)، بوالص الشحن (Bills of Lading)، منافستو البضائع / السفن، قوائم التحميل، الحجوزات، طلبات الإفراج، إعلانات البضائع الخطرة (IMDG)، والطلبات الخاصة بالخدمات وغيرها، ورقممنة هذه المستندات عن طريق تحميلها في نظام JMT.
• إعداد وتوليد وتوصيل خطط تحميل/تفريغ السفن وخطط عمل السفن في نظام JMT حسب ما ينطبق على القسم المعني / وكلاء السفن.
• المراقبة في الوقت الفعلي لعمليات البضائع الخاصة بالسفن / الساحات / البوابات / المراسي لتحسين إنتاجية المحطة.
• محاسبة البضائع - مطابقة بضائع الاستيراد والتصدير والتخزين.
• إدارة جميع مستندات العملاء الإلكترونية أو اليدوية – الحجوزات، الإخطارات المسبقة (Pre-Note)، طلبات الإفراج (استيراد / تصدير)، ومنافستو البضائع في نموذج مسبق التنسيق.
• المسؤولية عن تخطيط الاستخدام الفعال للمراسي والساحات والبوابات ومرافق الميناء الأخرى.
• بناءً على المدخلات من وكيل السفينة للرحلات البحرية، الحفاظ على تحديث نظام JMT / لوحة التخطيط دائماً بجميع البيانات ذات الصلة لكل رحلة / شحنة.
• المسؤولية عن تنظيم وتدوين محاضر اجتماعات ما قبل العمليات (Pre-Ops) / اجتماعات السلامة (Toolbox)، وإدارة مسح الغاطس (Draft Survey) ورفع التقارير بشكل استباقي.
• الإبلاغ عن المشكلات والمسائل، وخاصة المشكلات المعقدة أو ذات التأثير على العمليات.
• الحفاظ على مخزون الساحة لتتبع حركة البضائع و"فتح / إغلاق البوابة" لبضائع التصدير وفقاً للقواعد وإعدادات الساحة لزيادة الإنتاجية والسعة والكفاءة.
• المسؤولية عن تخطيط حركات البوابات وجدولة مواعيد الشاحنات.
• رفع تقارير بشكل منتظم عن حالة المرسى، وكثافة الساحة، واستخدام المعدات، وتغييرات الاستراتيجية/التخصيص.
• إعداد خطط العمل اليومية للساحة المتعلقة بعمليات التفريغ، واستلام الصادرات، والترتيب والتدبير الداخلي (Housekeeping)، إلخ.
• المسؤولية عن جودة بيانات جميع المعلومات المتعلقة بالسفن / البضائع، وخاصة مراجعة جودة بيانات كشوف التالر (Tally Sheets) من مختلف النقاط ومعاملات البضائع في نظام JMT، والمساهمة في التحسين المستمر لتدفقات عمل القسم.
• المسؤولية عن فحوصات وضوابط الجودة لجميع الفواتير قبل معالجتها من قبل الفريق التجاري.
• ضمان فهم وامتثال جميع تعليمات الصحة والسلامة والبيئة (HSE) بالكامل.
• إظهار الالتزام التام بسياسات السلامة بالشركة من خلال المشاركة والتفاعل الاستباقي.
• الإبلاغ عن حوادث الصحة والسلامة والبيئة، والحالات الوشيكة (Near Misses)، والمخالفات للمشرف المباشر فوراً.
• المشاركة في اجتماعات وتدريبات السلامة (Drills) التي تُجرى على متن السفن، وضمان التزام العمليات بإجراءات وممارسات التشغيل المعتمدة للصحة والسلامة والبيئة، واستخدام المعدات ضمن السعات المحددة لها مسبقاً. 

المؤهلات والخبرات والمهارات:

المؤهلات التعليمية:

• شهادة الدبلوم ، ويفضل في إدارة الموانئ والسفن، أو وفقاً لمصفوفة الحد الأدنى للمؤهلات والخبرات في الموانئ. 

الخبرة:

• خبرة لا تقل عن 3 سنوات في تخطيط البضائع / الحاويات، ويفضل في الموانئ أو المحطات متعددة الأغراض. 

المهارات والمعرفة:

• فهم قطاع الشحن والموانئ.
• مهارات تواصل وتفاوض ممتازة.
• التركيز على التفاصيل والدقة العالية، والقدرة على العمل بأمان في الظروف الجوية القاسية.
• مهارات عرض جيدة لتقديم المعلومات في الاجتماعات الفردية والمجموعات الصغيرة.
• مهارات تواصل جيدة وقدرة على بناء وتشكيل فرق عمل فعالة.

JOB PURPOSE:

• To perform various tasks pertaining to effective planning of vessel discharge & load operations, yard layouts & operations for Imports, MTs, Exports and Transshipment with due segregation as per department policies and procedures.
• The planning considers vessel stability, cargo safety & security, an efficient yard and vessel operation.
• Close real-time monitoring of vessel, berth, yard and gate operations to ensure that vessel, cargo / containers have confirmed positions at any point of time to reduce shifting and unproductive moves either while loading or unloading.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• In liaison with JPO Team Lead, provides the vessel, yard, gate and berth planning & administration:
• For all types of cargo operations – Dry Bulk, Containers, Multi-purpose, RORO, Liquid Bulk.
• Ensure each shipment is handled in the correct way, this will include freight, weight measurement– determination and calculation, requesting adequate equipment & manpower are in the right place at the right time.
• Responsible for planning the activities based on discharge / load documentation such as Stowage Plans, Bills of Lading, Cargo / Vessel Manifests, Load List, Booking, Release Requests, IMDG declarations, Special Requests for services and others. Digitize these documents by uploading in JMT.
• Prepare generate and communicate vessel load/discharge plans and vessel work plans in JMT as applicable to the relevant department / Vessel Agents.
• Real-time monitoring of vessel / yard / gate / berth cargo operations to improve terminal productivity.
• Cargo Accounting - Reconciliation of import, export and storage cargoes.
• Manage all customer electronic or manual documentation – Booking, Pre-Note, Release Requests – Import / Export, Cargo Manifests in preformatted form.
• Responsible to plan the effective utilization of Berth, Yard, Gate and other port facilities.
• Based on inputs from the Vessel Agent for the voyages, keep the JMT / Planning Board always updated with all relevant data for each voyage / cargo.
• Responsible to organize & minute- Pre-Ops / Toolbox meetings. Manage Draft Survey and reporting proactively.
• Reports problems and issues especially the issues of complexity or impact on the operations.
• Maintain yard inventory to track the movement of cargo and “Gate Opening / Closing” for export cargo as per rules and yard setups to maximize productivity, capacity and efficiency.
• Responsible for planning the gate movements and schedule truck appointments.
• Report on a regular basis on the status of berth, yard density, equipment utilization and strategy/allocation changes.
• Prepare daily yard work plans related to discharges, receiving exports, housekeeping etc.
• Responsible for data quality of all vessel / cargo related information especially review the data quality of tally sheets from various points and the cargo transactions in JMT. Contribute to continuous process improvement of workflows of the department.
• Responsible for quality checks and controls of all invoices before processing by Commercial team.

HSE Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all HSE instructions are fully understood and complied with.
• Must demonstrate total commitment to the company safety policies through participation and proactive involvement.
• Reporting HSE incident, near misses and violation to immediate supervisor.
• Responsible to participate in safety meetings and safety drills held on board and ensures operations abide by established/HSE operating procedures and practices and equipment is used within predetermined capacities.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

Education:

• Diploma preferably in Port and Ship Management or as per the Minimum Qualifications and Experiences matrix in Ports.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Planning of cargo / containers, preferably multi-purpose port or terminal.

Skills & Knowledge:

• Understanding of Shipping and Port Industry.
• Excellent communication skills and negotiating skills.
• Focus on details and high accuracy. Ability to work safely in adverse weather conditions.
• Good Presentation skills to present information in a one-on-one and small group.
• Good Communication skills and aptitude to create effective teams.

• تنسيق استلام والتحقق من رسائل BAPLIE، MOVINS، قوائم التفريغ/التحميل، معلومات البضائع الخطرة، قوائم الحاويات المبردة، ومتطلبات البضائع الخاصة.
• إعداد ومراجعة خطط رصف السفن، تقسيم الرافعات، تسلسل الأغطية، إعادة الرصف، وبرامج العمل بالتنسيق مع خطوط الشحن وممثلي السفن.
• تقييم متطلبات الأرصفة، الامتداد الخارجي للرافعات، الارتفاع الملاحي، موقع الإرساء، القيود البحرية وحركة المد والجزر، والجاهزية التشغيلية.
• ضمان دعم الخطط النهائية لعمليات السفن الآمنة، والاستغلال الأمثل للرافعات، وتحقيق الإنتاجية المستهدفة.

 

تخطيط الساحة والمعدات

• تطوير استراتيجيات تخصيص الساحة للحاويات الواردة، الصادرة، المسافنة، الفارغة، المبردة، البضائع ذات الأحجام الفائقة (OOG)، البضائع الخطرة، والبضائع الخاصة.
• مراقبة كثافة الساحة، إعادة الترتيب، عمليات إعادة المناولة، الفصل بين البضائع، ومسافات تنقل المعدات للحفاظ على تدفق البضائع بفعالية.
• تخطيط نشر رافعات الرصيف (STS)، الرافعات الجسرية (RTG)، الرافعات الشوكية (Reach Stackers)، شاحنات المحطة، ومعدات الدعم بناءً على الطلب التشغيلي.

JOB PURPOSE

 

• The Planning Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating vessel, yard, berth, and equipment planning activities within the container terminal. The role ensures that operational plans are safe, practical, system-ready, and optimized to support vessel schedules, yard capacity, customer requirements, and available resources. The Planning Supervisor leads the planning team, validates plans before execution, monitors live operations, and coordinates timely plan adjustments to minimize delays, rehandles, congestion, and operational conflicts while achieving terminal productivity and service targets.

Planning Leadership & Control

 

• Lead and supervise vessel, yard, berth, and resource planning activities for container terminal operations.

Yard & Equipment Planning

 

• Develop yard allocation strategies for import, export, transshipment, empty, reefer, OOG, dangerous goods, and special cargo.
• Monitor yard density, housekeeping, rehandles, segregation, and equipment travel distances to maintain efficient cargo flow.
• Plan deployment of STS, RTG, reach stackers, terminal tractors, and support equipment based on operational demand.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Operations on equipment availability, breakdowns, maintenance windows, and contingency plans.

• Ensure accurate planning data and operational instructions are maintained in the Terminal Operating System, including Navis N4 or equivalent.

JOB PURPOSE

• The Automation Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all automation, control, PLC, SCADA, communication, and industrial network systems supporting the container terminal. The role focuses on maintaining and improving the performance of semi-automated Ship-to-Shore (STS) cranes, Rubber-Tyred Gantry (RTG) cranes, and associated terminal automation systems to maximize equipment availability and operational efficiency.
• The Automation Engineer works closely with Maintenance, Operations, IT, OEMs, and contractors to troubleshoot automation issues, implement system improvements, and support digitalization and predictive maintenance initiatives.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Automation & Control Systems

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize PLC, HMI, SCADA, and control systems for semi-automated STS and RTG cranes.
• Perform software modifications, diagnostics, commissioning, and system testing.
• Ensure all automation systems operate safely, reliably, and in accordance with OEM standards.

PLC Programming & Industrial Control

• Develop, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC programs using Siemens TIA Portal/STEP 7 and other OEM platforms.
• Configure and maintain remote I/O, safety PLCs, VFDs, encoders, sensors, laser positioning, and motion control systems.
• Perform software backups, version control, and restoration of PLC and automation programs.

Automation Servers & OT Infrastructure

• Monitor server performance, system health, storage capacity, backups, redundancy, and disaster recovery.

Remote Operation & Communication Systems

 

• Maintain and troubleshoot communication between Liebherr Automation Servers, STS/RTG cranes, Remote Operator Stations (ROS), Engineering Workstations, and the Terminal Operating System (TOS).
• Support and maintain the wireless/radio communication network used for remote operation of RTGs, ensuring reliable communication between the RTGs, ROS stations, and central automation servers.
• Diagnose and resolve communication failures, latency, synchronization issues, and network interruptions affecting crane operation.

Industrial Networks

• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial communication networks including Fiber Optic networks, Industrial Ethernet, Profinet, Profibus, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, managed switches, routers, wireless access points, and communication gateways.
• Ensure high network availability, redundancy, cybersecurity, and reliable data exchange between automation devices.

Camera & Vision Systems

• Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot all crane camera and vision systems, including spreader, trolley, boom, gantry, hoist, anti-collision, OCR, and CCTV cameras.
• Ensure reliable video transmission, recording, and display at Remote Operator Stations.
• Coordinate calibration, replacement, and commissioning of cameras and vision equipment.

System Integration

• Support integration and communication between crane automation systems, PLCs, SCADA, ROS, TOS, CMMS, drive systems, anti-collision systems, positioning systems, and other terminal operational technologies.
• Work closely with OEMs and IT to ensure seamless integration of new automation technologies and software upgrades.

CMMS & Reliability

• Develop preventive maintenance plans for automation systems using the CMMS.
• Record maintenance activities, software revisions, equipment history, and recurring failures.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Cybersecurity & Data Integrity

• Support OT cybersecurity by maintaining secure user access, backup procedures, antivirus protection, network segmentation, and disaster recovery plans.

• The Shift Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and coordinating all container terminal operations during an assigned shift. This includes vessel operations, yard management, and gate activities, ensuring optimal utilization of equipment, labor, and terminal resources. The role safeguards compliance with operational plans, safety standards, and customer requirements, while driving efficiency and productivity across the terminal. The Shift Manager acts as the senior operational authority on duty, making real-time decisions to address issues, minimizing delays, and achieve performance targets.

• شهادة الحزام الأسود في لين سيكس سيجما (Lean Six Sigma Black Belt).
• تعتبر الشهادات المهنية الأخرى أو الشهادات الداخلية في الإدارة الرشيقة مرغوبة للغاية. 

الخبرة:

• خبرة لا تقل عن 8 سنة في دور قيادي بمجال التميز التشغيلي.
• خبرة مثبتة في إنشاء ونشر البرامج الرشيقة في المؤسسات من نقطة الصفر.

JOB PURPOSE

• The Operations Excellence Manager/Sr. Manager will have the responsibility of:
• Defining, designing, implementing, and refining the lean based Operational Excellence strategy & system for the Asyad Ports & Freezones portfolio, covering all operating entities and corporate functions.
• Advising & coaching the APFZ Leadership team on lean transformation.
• Creating a system that will be the key enabler of financial & operational improvements within the operating business, and responsible with VP Ops, VP Commercial & Freezone Heads for delivery of significant positive improvements to financial performance.
• Developing & implementing a training strategy & program for APFZ people to instil lean skills into our organization. The Operations Excellence Manager/Sr. Manager should be seen as a people focused leader able to build APFZ people, not purely an expert individual.
• Leading the facilitation of Kaizen & other lean management events, while acting as a key trainer & mentor to all employees in this regard.
• This is a critical role with freedom, opportunity & responsibility to develop a new continuous improvement system and transform a young, developing organization.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Setting lean & continuous improvement strategy for APFZ

• Introduce global best practices and innovation across Asyad Ports.
• Ensure strong process ownership, governance, and change management mechanisms.

Design & implementation of new Asyad Ports & Freezones Operational Excellence System

• Defining, & implement a new operational excellence strategy & system based on lean methodology for Asyad Ports & Freezones.
• Business objective is to deliver significant (multiple double-digit %) improvements in financial and operational performance.
• This is to be achieved through training our people in & executing on a clear, actionable continuous improvement methodology as part of a clear business system.

Delivery of Financial & Operational Improvement Scheme

• The Operations Excellence Manager/Sr. Manager will be accountable together with functional leaders for delivery of financial improvement, not purely program activity.
• Lead strategic initiatives to elevate port competitiveness.

Development of Lean Skills Across the Organisation

• Having developed the system, the leader must be able to implement this across a range of operating sites & corporate functions through an engaging training program.
• Development of our people is the foundation for program success.
• Lead initiatives that improve end-to-end value chain performance and ensure alignment between operations, commercial, maintenance, IT, and finance.

Lean Leadership

• Recognised as the in-house expert, coach & guide on lean continuous improvement.
• The individual should have credibility as lean sensei for APFZ.

Kaizen Leadership

• Personal lead the first, and most critical, kaizen events to improve the business.
• Drive continuous improvement across port operations, focusing on efficiency, turnaround time, and cost optimization.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with APFZ leadership & units heads to integrate operational excellence initiatives seamlessly across all functions.
• Manage internal & external stakeholders at various levels, while building & maintaining strong working relationships with the same.

Performance Monitoring

• Develop the Operational Excellence performance management approach establishing where necessary key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track the effectiveness of implemented processes.

Process Governance & Standardization

• Enforce standardized SOPs, operational frameworks, and best practices across all ports/assets.
• Ensure strong process ownership, governance, and change management mechanisms.
• Support and advise new process standardization for new business units.
• Support APFZ direction with technology & digital enhancement to assure lean management and process improvement.

QUALIFICATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

Qualifications & Experience

Experience

• Minimum 8 years in an operational excellence leadership role.
• Demonstrable experience in creating & deploying a lean program in organisations from the ground up.
• Clear track record of positive, sizeable, financial impact.
• Experience in developing a new operations excellence program.
• Background in port operations, maritime operations or logistics preferred. Other industries will be considered where the candidate has clear experience of new program development & deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Ports Management, shipping, engineering, or similar. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Certifications

• Lean Six Sigma Black Belts Certificate.
• Other Professional or In-house certifications in lean management are highly desirable.

غرض الوظيفة:

• يتولى الربان المسؤولية الكاملة والنهائية عن الحالة العامة للسفينة، والملاحة، والطاقم، والعمليات التي تشارك فيها في جميع الأوقات، ويتبع الربان للإدارة مباشرة. 

المسؤوليات الرئيسية:

• ضمان جاهزية السفينة والطاقم للتشغيل والانتشار في جميع الأوقات.
• التأكد من أن الظروف الفنية والتشغيلية للسفينة مطابقة للمتعلّقات والمعايير المطلوبة.
• تحمل المسؤولية النهائية عن سلامة السفينة وطاقمها والعمليات التي تشارك فيها.
• تنفيذ سياسة الشركة الخاصة بالسلامة وحماية البيئة بشكل صارم.
• الإشراف على الاستخدام الصحيح لمعدات الحماية الشخصية (PPE) من قبل الطاقم.
• اتخاذ الإجراءات التصحيحية اللازمة في حالة وجود أي انحرافات أو نواقص تشغيلية.
• إجراء التقييمات الدورية لأداء أفراد الطاقم.
• تحفيز الطاقم على الالتزام التام بنظام الإدارة المتكامل (IMS).
• تنظيم اجتماعات السلامة الدورية وااجتماعات ما قبل العمل (Toolbox Meetings).
• تدريب الطاقم على عمليات السفينة وإجراءات السلامة والطورائ على متنها.
• التواصل وطلب المساعدة والدعم من الشركة في جميع الأوقات عند الحاجة.
• يمتلك الربان سلطة ومسؤولية مطلقة ومجتازة لأي قرارات يراها ضرورية، وفقاً لتقديره المهني، للحفاظ على سلامة وأمن السفينة والطاقم.
• الالتزام بتعليمات العملاء وتقديم المساعدة المهنية والاحترافية للسفن الأخرى.
• جدولة مهام ونوبات المراقبة (Watch Duties) عند الضرورة، وإبلاغها لبقية أفراد الطاقم.
• نقل وتسليم جميع المعلومات والبيانات ذات الصلة والضرورية لطاقم المناوبة البديل (Relief Crew).
• مواكبة ومعرفة جميع ظروف وقوانين العمل السارية وذات الصلة.
• ضمان تحديث وصيانة جميع السجلات، الكتب، والمستندات الموجودة على متن السفينة أولاً بأول.
• الإبلاغ الفوري عن أي أضرار أو تلفيات تلحق بالسفينة إلى دائرة العمليات.
• ضمان تعبئة دفتر يوميات السفينة (Logbook) ، التقارير اليومية، الإفادات، وتقارير الحوادث والأضرار بشكل كامل وصحيح وفي الوقت المحدد.
• الإبلاغ عن الأعطال والعيوب الفنية إلى الدائرة الفنية فور حدوثها.
• الإبلاغ عن الإصلاحات أو أعمال الصيانة العاجلة، حتى لو كان من الممكن تنفيذها بواسطة خدمات الإصلاح الداخلي بالسفينة.
• تقديم طلبات خطية للحصول على المواد والقطع الفنية اللازمة للسفينة.
• تقديم قوائم طلبات خطية لتوفير المؤن والإمدادات الغذائية للطاقم.
• التوقيع على إيصالات استلام المواد واللوازم عند تسليمها على متن السفينة.
• تسجيل الإعلانات والتعاميم المكتبية الصادرة من الإدارة وإخطار الطاقم بها.
• تعبئة نماذج رسائل المقطورات (Towage Letters) بشكل صحيح وتوقيعها.
• المحافظة على تواصل صحيح، دائم، ومحترف مع العملاء، الجهات الحكومية، والمنظمات البحرية.
• فحص واعتماد وتوقيع نماذج تسجيل ساعات العمل المعبأة من قبل الطاقم. 

المؤهلات والخبرات والمهارات:

المؤهلات التعليمية والمهنية:

• دبلوم في العلوم البحرية أو تخصص ذي صلة.
• شهادات STCW سارية المفعول بالكامل.
• شهادة الكفاءة (CoC) برتبة ربان (Master) وفقاً للتصنيف II/2 أو II/3.
• دورة التدريب الأساسي على السلامة (STCW A-VI/1).
• شهادة الأهلية في قوارب النجاة وقوارب الإنقاذ (PSCRB) وفقاً للتصنيف (STCW A-VI/2).
• دورة مكافحة الحرائق المتقدمة (STCW A-VI/3).
• دورة الإسعافات الأولية الطبية / الرعاية الطبية، وفقاً لما يتطلبه مستوى الشهادة.
• شهادة المشغل العام أو المقيد لنظام الاستغاثة والسلامة البحري العالمي (GMDSS GOC or ROC).
• دورة التوعية الأمنية أو التدريب على الواجبات الأمنية المحددة بموجب (STCW VI/6).
• أي مؤهلات وشهادات إلزامية أخرى مكملة للمستوى المهني. 

الخبرة:

• خبرة لا تقل عن 5 سنوات بشكل عام، منها من 3 إلى 4 سنوات كربان قاطرة بحرية.
• خبرة عملية في إبحار وتشغيل قاطرات الدفع الموجه (ASD tugs) أو على الأقل أنظمة الدفع السمتي (Azimuth Driven Systems)، ويفضل العمل على القاطرات المصنعة من قبل شركة "دامين" (Damen Built tugs).
• خبرة ممتازة في عمليات القطر داخل الموانئ (Harbor Towage)، خدمات النقل والقطر من سفينة إلى سفينة (Ship-to-Ship services)، وعمليات إدخال وإخراج السفن من الأحواض والمرافئ (Docking and Undocking).
• ميزة إضافية: خبرة في التعامل مع العوامات البحرية والمخطاف (Buoy and Anchor Handling).
• ميزة إضافية: خبرة في العمليات عند رصيف الشحن السائل ومنصات العوامات الأحادية (Liquid Berth and SPM operations).
• مهارات جيدة في استخدام برامج مايكروسوفت أوفيس، وخاصة (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• خبرة عملية في تشغيل الرافعات الهيدروليكية (Hydraulic Cranes).
• يفضل من لديه خبرة سابقة في عمليات العوامات الأحادية (SPM).

JOB PURPOSE

• The Master is responsible and assumes final responsibility for the general state of the ship, navigation, the crew and the operations it takes part in at all times. The Master answers to the Management.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Assure deploy ability of ship and crew.
• Ensure the ship’s technical and operational conditions are as required.
• Assume the end responsibility for the safety of the vessel, its crew and the operation it takes part in.
• Implement the safety and environmental-protection policy of the company.
• Supervise the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment.
• Take corrective measures in case of deviations and/or shortcomings.
• Perform crew assessments.
• Motivate the crew to take due observance of the Integral Management System.
• Organize toolbox/safety meetings.
• Train the crew in shipboard and safety operations.
• Can request the Company for assistance at all times.
• The Master has the overriding authority and responsibility to make decisions, which, in the professional judgement of the Master, are necessary to maintain the safety and security of the ship and crew.
• Conform to the client’s instructions and provide professional assistance to vessels.
• Schedule watch duties, when necessary, and communicate this to the rest of the crew.
• Transfer all relevant information to the relief crew.
• Keep abreast of all applicable and relevant working conditions.
• Ensure that all books, documents and information on board are kept up to date.
• Report any damage to the Operations Department.
• Ensure that the logbook, day reports, statements, damage and accident reports are filled out completely, correctly and on time.
• Report malfunctions and defects to the Technical Department.
• Report urgent repairs / maintenance even if these can be carried out by in-house repair services.
• Submit written requests for materials.
• Submit written order lists for provisions.
• Sign receipts of materials when delivered on board.
• Record office announcements and notify these to the crew.
• Fill in towage letters correctly and sign them.
• Maintain correct and professional communication with clients, government agencies and the maritime organization.
• Inspect and sign filled-out hour registration forms.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nautical Science or a related field.
• Valid all STCW certificates.
• Certificate of Competency (CoC) as Master rating II/2 or II/3.
• Basic Safety Training (STCW A-VI/1).
• Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats (PSCRB) (STCW A-VI/2).
• Advanced Fire Fighting (STCW A-VI/3).
• Medical First Aid / Medical Care, as required by the certificate level.
• GMDSS GOC or ROC.
• Security Awareness or Designated Security Duties training under STCW VI/6.
• Any other required statutory marine certificates.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years of experience & 3-4 years of experience as a Tugboat Master.
• Experienced with sailing and operating ASD tugs (or at least azimuth driven systems) Preferably Damen Built tugs.
• Experienced in harbor towage, Ship-to-Ship services, Docking and Undocking Experience.
• Extra: experience with buoy and anchor handling.
• Extra: experience with liquid berth and SPM operations.
• Good skills with Microsoft office (excel, PowerPoint, word).
• Experience with operating hydraulic cranes.
• SPM experience is preferable.
