الغرض من الوظيفة (JOB PURPOSE):

الإشراف على أعمال الإصلاح لضمان الإدارة الفنية والاقتصادية الفعّالة لقسم السطح، ودعم الربان في قيادة السفينة. تنفيذ ومتابعة متطلبات سلامة السفينة ومنع التلوث البحري وإدارة التكاليف بعناية وحرص.

المسؤوليات (ACCOUNTABILITY):

• تخطيط والإشراف وإدارة أنشطة قسم السطح.
• الإشراف على أعمال الإصلاح والصيانة والتحكم بها في قسم السطح.
• توجيه ومساندة طاقم السطح بشكل مباشر في المسائل الفنية.
• طلب مستلزمات قسم السطح الاستهلاكية في الوقت المناسب.
• التنسيق مع قسم المحركات لإصلاح أي معدات سطح لا تعمل بشكل سليم.
• تنفيذ المهام وفقًا لجدول الطوارئ (Muster Roll).
• الحفاظ على سلامة الركاب والطاقم والسفينة والبضائع بصفته ضابط السلامة على متن السفينة.
• الإشراف على معدات السلامة ومعدات تفادي المخاطر ومعدات إنقاذ الأرواح.
• ضمان توفر ظروف عمل آمنة وإضاءة مناسبة من المنحدر (الرامب) إلى مناطق العمل.
• الإشراف على جميع عمليات الشحن والتفريغ.
• ضمان سلامة السفينة وثباتها أثناء عمليات التحميل والتفريغ.
• المراقبة المستمرة للبحر، وأداء نوبات المراقبة، والإبلاغ عن أي اضطرابات أو مخاطر أثناء الصعود.
• التنسيق مع الضابط الثاني في توفير معدات السلامة ومعدات إنقاذ الأرواح.
• تنفيذ تدريبات السلامة على متن السفينة لجميع أفراد الطاقم.
• تقييم الاحتياجات الفنية ووضع برامج تدريب لطاقم السطح.
• إرشاد وتوجيه أفراد طاقم السطح الجدد وتقديم التعليمات لهم.
• تدريب جميع المتدربين (Cadets) والأفراد غير المرخّصين المكلّفين بأعمال السطح، وضمان إلمامهم بممارسات العمل الآمن.
• تخطيط والإشراف على أنشطة ومسؤوليات طاقم قسم السطح.
• إدارة أفراد السطح وتقديم الدعم المستمر لهم.
• الحفاظ على سلامة طاقم قسم السطح.
• إعداد جداول الصيانة وتوزيع مهام العمل اليومية لقسم السطح، مع مراعاة أحكام الاتفاقيات الدولية واللوائح الحكومية ولوائح هيئات التصنيف ومعايير وإجراءات

JOB PURPOSE:

repair to ensure effective technical and economic management of the Deck Department and to support Master in commanding the ship. To implement and monitor with due diligence ship safety, maritime pollution prevention, and cost management.

ACCOUNTABILITY

• Plan, supervise, and manage the activities of the Deck Department.
• Supervise and control the repair and maintenance of the Deck Department.
• Direct and assist the deck staff closely in technical related matters.
• Order on a timely basis Deck Department consumable.
• Coordinate with the Engine Department the repair of any deck equipment which is not functioning
• properly.
• Tasks in accordance with Muster Roll.
• Safeguard the safety of passengers, crew, ship, and cargo as Safety Officer of the Shipboard.
• Supervise safety equipment, equipment to avert hazards, and lifesaving equipment.
• Ensure safe working conditions with proper lighting from the ramp to the work areas.
• Supervise all cargo operations
• Ensure ship’s safety and stability during loading / discharging operations.
• Monitor the sea continuously, perform sea watching, and report agitation or risks in embarking.
• Coordinate with Second Officer in the provision of safety and lifesaving equipment.
• Perform ship safety trainings to all crew members.
• Evaluate technical needs and develop trainings for Deck crew.
• Coach and advice on instructions to new Deck crew.
• Train all cadets and unlicensed personnel assigned to perform deck work; and ensure they are properly
• instructed in safe work practices.
• Plan, supervise, the Deck Department crew’s activities and responsibilities.
• Manage the deck personnel and provide them with ongoing assistance.
• Safeguard safety of Deck’s crew.
• Prepare the maintenance schedules and daily work assignments in the Deck Department taking into
• account the provisions of the international conventions, government regulations, classification
• regulations, Company standards and procedures.

Qualifications:

Bachelor or Diploma degree in Nautical Studies

Certificates and Examinations required for relevant ship as per STCW

requirements, minimum Class II CoC, regulation (II/2) & (IV/2)

Fitness for sea service.

Seafaring record
