Job Description
Job Purpose:
To lead in the development, planning, organizing, leading, and supervision of Administrative and Training needs for shipboard crew.
Responsibility & accountability:
- Identify and ensure the provision of all administrative related needs to shipboard crew.
- Coordinate with Administration section in regards to visas, permits, housing, tickets, etc… of all expatriates and/or outsourced personnel on shipboard.
- Ensure the proper maintenance and safekeeping of administrative services documents and files.
- Identify core competencies of shipboard crew with the Nautical Manager ? Co and identify training needs accordingly.
- Conduct yearly training assessment needs in coordination with Superintendent Manager to meet STCW requirements.
- Design and develop training and development programs based on the organization’s and the individual’s needs in coordination with Learning & Development Officer.
- Establish training plans and programs, present it, and get the required approval prior to proceeding.
- Manage crew’s enrollment in selected training programs, and follow-up on their post-training feedback.
- Assess the training feedback received and its effectiveness and report it to the Nautical Manager.
- Ensure the Administration of Flag State Affairs concerning all crew related matters.
- To monitor & keep proper record of all certificates & expiration dates.
- Develop manpower plan by consolidating manpower needs across the shipboard department.
- Ensure proper manning timely and accurately and maintain rotation profile as required.
- Supervise the working hours and shifts along with vacations of floating crew.
